Meg Murtagh is an artisan and educator residing in Richmond, Virginia. She studied Studio Art and Art Education at Appalachian State University where she earned a BFA in Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design with a secondary concentration in Ceramics and a BS in Art Education, with K-12 certification.

Meg currently teaches Art 1-4, Honors Independent Study, and AP Studio Art at Monacan High School in Chesterfield County, VA. She is the sponsor of Art Club, National Art Honor Society and The Bullseye Art & Literary Magazine.

Meg creates work that is functional, sculptural and conceptual. Her drive for learning new processes, honing her craft and gaining new lifelong skills while sharing her knowledge with others is at the forefront of her aim both as an artisan and educator.
